MD. Rajibul Islam is currently study B.Sc. in Fisheries at Sylhet Agricultural University
MD. Rajibul Islam was born in 1999 in Bogura of Bangladesh.
He completed his Secondary School Certificate examination from Harimohan Govt. High School, Chapai Nawabgong. Then he shifted to his hometown, Bogura, and conducted his Higher Secondary School Certificate examination from Govt. Azizul Haque College.
Now he is studying for B.Sc degree from the Faculty of Fisheries at Sylhet Agricultural University, Sylhet.
As a fishery student, he has some plans to better the fisheries sector in our country. He also wants to work for the betterment of the river in Bangladesh in the future. As Bangladesh is a riverine country, he believes that our country faces a lot of problems without the development of the river.
He has a great interest in the research field. He believed that the lacking of the fisheries sector would fill up with quality research. In Bangladesh, Fisheries share 60% animal protein & he believes that it will increase day by day with a fair amount of research.
As an undergraduate student, he has not had enough facilities to conduct research. Besides this, I try to work on fisherman's socio-economic condition, the present situation of ornamental fish in Bogura, and so on. These research works were selected for different national & international conferences.
His first research title was “The Underlying Causes of Fish Habitat Destruction in Hakaluki Haor, Bangladesh” which was selected for the conference on “Environmental Solutions for Sustainable Development: Towards Developed Bangladesh (CESSD 2019)” at Dhaka, Bangladesh in November 2019.
Then he worked on "Social Media in Advancement of Aquaculture in Bangladesh -Potentials and Challenges” which was selected in the conference on the “Fisheries Society of Bangladesh Biennial Conference 2019 (FSB2019) at Mymensingh, Bangladesh” in December 2019. It was also published in the “Bangladesh Journal of Fisheries”
He also works on small-scale fishers, which title was “Small Scale fishers are living on the margin Evidence from Bangali River, Bangladesh” which was selected in “1st International Student Research Conference -2020”.
Currently, he works on various topics. You can follow and read these works in Researchgate and Academia.
